Detailed information on mixing/timer for 317 standard sludge shear force test
This shear force test mixing timer is recommended by the Water Research Centre to evaluate the stability of sludge.
Often used in conjunction with a sludge capillary water absorption time measuring instrument (CST). At a certain stirring speed, the sludge is stirred, which simulates a certain shear force. In this way, the physical strength of the treated flocs can be evaluated, and the sludge stability of different dewatering machines can be obtained.
The upper motor can continuously stir the sludge
The detachable mixing blades are relatively flexible and easy to clean.
The stirring time can be adjusted from 1 to 99 seconds, with an interval of 1 second.
A time setting button can be used to set the standard time from 10 to 30 seconds and 60 seconds.
The following are typical mixing times for different mechanical dehydration systems
Shear force equivalent (seconds) (laboratory mixing time)
Belt filter press 0
Vacuum filter 10
Compressor 40
Centrifuge is uncertain
